i really hate the sarah mclachlan commerical for ASPCA that keeps coming on. it shows all these pitiful animals, some with only one eye, that look terrible and sad and it makes me want to adopt them all. adopt them all and then cry. damn you sarah mclachlan!
i love the library. nothing makes me think of summer like trips to the library to stock up on enough entertainment to lock myself in my room for a few days. fuck the sunshine, sometimes you just gotta hide out and read. then again, i guess it's also really nice to read outside by the pool or the beach... ok i retract my 'fuck you,' sun. maybe that's what i love about reading? i can sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and still feel like i'm doing something. so, this library trip i am officially obsessed with:
1. the history of soul music esp. sam cooke 2. etiquette - i'm going to dig out all my family's china and silver and have a formal dinner 3. africa- duh 4. peace corps- i'm almost positive i'm going to apply 5. learning spanish 6. tattoos 7. moar... christopher moore that is.
i also got some sweet movies, 3 of which have to do with africa and a james franco one, i've never seen before! i hope he doesn't do a shitty job- it'll be hard to watch him without thinking 'apeshit' anyways.
next trip... i spotted a sweet book on the history of circumcision- looks pretty sweet. what else, i don't know yet. something will spark an interest.
ok, this made me laugh a lot! "it's a bird, it's a plane, it's a .... rc penis?!" YES, i hope i can utter that phrase in a contextually meaningful manner before i die.

i was watching good eats with j-ha, learning how buffalo wings are made, when i almost choked on a greenbean. I SAW MY PROFESSOR ON GOOD EATS!!!! granted it was a professor i only had for an honors seminar about the domestication of animals and civilization, and he was a poultry science professor but it was still nuts. i'm not accustomed to seeing random people i knows' faces displayed on my tv. he was real nice, and brought all these chickens for alton brown to see and talked about how they can't really fly. i saw the same chickens (or their progeny) when i was in his class!!
i also put in job applications!! woooooo i hope i get hired. i dont feel like typing anymore now, but there is still more stuff to write about so i guess i'll add later.

JAMES FRANCO - man can't act. but he sure looks good. cept lately he's really been looking his age (30 WTF!!?) and it kinda makes me sad. it makes me think of him getting older which makes me think of him dying which is sad too. kinda like heath ledger. anyways, besides being an actor of the lowest caliber, he's also an "artist". man oh man. APE SHIT. that's all i can say.
